You've probably noticed it does not come with a catalytic converter and, thus, is not street legal.br0dy519 wrote: ↑22 Jul 2022, 18:38 Finally found it! I remember seeing a lot of posts a while ago about OBX exhaust being a good replacement. Unfortunately I have no idea how you would procure one of these nor if it’s compatible with yours. Link:

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.

Hey thanks for that, i couldn't load the website due to my virus protection saying its infected with phishing.vtl wrote: ↑22 Jul 2022, 18:54$849.95 https://www.snabb.us/3-High-Flow-Cat-Do ... p_320.html I got it for $495 3 years ago, wow.
If you need a catback, too - don't buy from Snabb web site. It's a Jetex made in Poland, poorly made. For the same money you can get Volvo catback, which is of the finest quality.
Snabb downpipe is very good.
I'll try with my cell phone.

Up here in Maine they don't smog test my old car, they seem more obsessed with holes in the bodywork.vtl wrote: ↑22 Jul 2022, 18:55You've probably noticed it does not come with a catalytic converter and, thus, is not street legal.br0dy519 wrote: ↑22 Jul 2022, 18:38 Finally found it! If I can use the catless DP I think the $500 saving is too hard to ignore, I read an O2 spacer prevents CEL .
Is there any other downside to the cat delete pipe ?

It is required by law: https://www.maine.gov/dep/air/mobile/catconverter.html
Stench?
Maybe you can TIG weld your old cat to your new straight pipe? Volvo's TWYC is of a very high quality, it virtually lasts forever, unless the engine spits oil and AFR is way too off.

or $850 snabb or the walker version which is probably in the same price range.

Just a question -
Does anyone go to a quality independent shop where the guy can cleverly copy the OE system? Or is he just ordering bargain aftermarket pieces to build it up?

I just go to my local Speedy Muffler. They rehung my exhaust after I bought my S60, and the resonator pipe was broken off at the flange, so I just had the resonator replaced with a piece of pipe. They welded it to the old flange so if I decided to replace the resonator I could unbolt what they installed and replace it. I think I paid $100 while I waited on it. Still has the original cat and flex pipe.
