Car stalling when in gear and under load
Maybe had bad gas
Put in 35 dollars of super unleaded
Along with
Injector cleaner
Seafoam
Stop fuel treatment
Blah blah
Trying to flush out the bad gas. If that's even it. Lol
Car has 250k miles
New timing belt 2k miles ago
Car will run 65 mph but have to feather the gas to make that happen.
When it sits overnight and I started cold I can punch it and it does whatever I want with full acceleration.
But after she warns up starts getting finicky!
My thoughts are...
Fuel filter
Vac line leak. (search with WD 40)
Spark seems ok ... Because when it stalls I do smell gas everywhere LOL
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? I honestly don't know where to start.
Oh! I did clean the battery terminals and pulled the spark plug wires and reattach them.
Help?

Just had similar issue with a 97 850 GLT (LPT). It was the fuel pump relay. Other issue may be the MAF. If it starts playing up, try disconnecting the MAF and see if the issue goes away.

I have a new MAF (from a junkyard) and I have disconnected it, no difference in runnability.
How would the fuel pump have a part of it?
Because it does run up to about 4k 5k rpm in neutral and about 70 mph 2600 rpm, but faster than that and it stumble and won't take any more throttle, and then drops rpm back to the basement.
Thoughts?

Just tried to spray wd40 on some vac hoses. No change.
Also, I have a new tcv turbo control valve...maybe I can throw that in there this weekend.
When it's cold it runs fun up to about 4000 rpms
But, even cold, if you punch it, it will run ok, then stumble.
I will have to do some more scientific ( run it up and down the 1/2 mile strip out back) tests and then take notes.

Plugs are new in last 5 k miles
Wires...are they date stamped? I can check
Cap and rotor, I don't know, so may be a while.
Best to get the Bosch factory for that stuff?
Order online or local parts store my not bend me over toooo far lol

Fuel suggestion was because you said it was stalling under load. Relay warms up and then becomes intermittent and stumbles or dies under load. Your junkyard MAF could be bad too, but disconnecting it as you have done should have made a difference if that was it.
Have you checked fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Should be around 43psi for your car.
Check your Turbo intercooler pipes for splits or being loose.
There is a diaphragm in the turbo waste gate that also fails.
Cam/crank position sensors?
Like abscate suggested if age/condition of parts are not known then a service may be worth while. Are you getting any engine check lights or codes?

Bad coolant temperature sensor?

Would that cause a stumble ...no acceleration under load, .....but engine will spin to 5k rpm in neutral.
