2006 V50 T5 AWD - Haldex freak leak

Post by ThisOldBrick »

Looking to see if anyone has had any experience with this interesting leak

Appears to be coming from a rusted out plug at the bottom of the haldex above the rear diff crossmember.

Thoughts that are not extensive/expensive repair are welcome.

Did you confirm it was coming from there? It might be difficult to deal with as that bolt uses a 5mm Allen to undo and it's usually too tight and will just strip the threads. My recommendation would be to just live with it and occasionally top off the fluid as long as it's a slow leak.
