How long have you owned a P80 Volvo; an 850 or S70, V70, C70?
As of today, I have owned a 2000 V70 for 20 years.
I spent 18 years in "the V70", a Nautic Blue 2000 V70 NA manual, driving it from 50k to 275k miles. In 2009, the engine blew from a failed coolant hose, so I had a used one installed and kept driving. In 2019, it got totaled by a rear end collision. By 2022, abscate had thoroughly parted it out and sent it to scrap.
In 2020, a friend heard about my accident and sold me his car. It's "the G70" (G for green), an Emerald Green 2000 V70 NA automatic with about 200k miles. I've been rehabilitating it to stage zero, felt confident taking it on a 30 hour round trip drive, but recently have a tricky issue. I hope to get it fully refreshed to cruise through the next 100k miles.
All that time, MVS has been there for me, helping with questions large and small. Thanks for everything.

We bought our T5 new - epsilon from the dealer. It was an early terminated lease, I think from someone who drove a lot and then got tired of waggling the 5 gears. It wasakid hauler for 14 years, then , on the verge of throwing it away, I found MVS

7 months. I bought it in early January at a local auction. I went to go look at it, and had to clear snow off of it. I took it home a few days later, and had to dig it out.

About 22 years ago my parents bought me a 440gl with slight accident damage. I think I had that for 6 years until the rust killed it.
Next I got an s70, which I had for 15years.
Was extremely happy with it. But it would have needed much work to keep it healthy going forward, and I was too busy fixing my 850 T5 R - which I got ~9 years ago.
I probably should have sold the T5R since the s70 had a much better base, but to be honest, the 2.0 engine was no fun any more for me. Didn't really like driving it so much any more, after 15 years, and I want to have fun driving it.
So, P80 for 16 years
and hopefully many more.

‘94 850 turbo wagon - the Red Sled.
A little over 20 years. It was 1-owner, purchased new by a woman in suburban Dallas who was very picky with dealer-only service. I bought it with 60k miles through a broker in Denver, had it looked over, then trucked to Montana. Truck arrived on a bitter cold winter night, ice and grime on the car, but I started it up, turned on the radio, and Neil Young was playing. It’s had good vibes ever since.

I owned my 850 for 17 years. It was my only car the entire time.
I should have never sold it. I have a few blown discs in my lower back, and working on cars can be very painful the next day, and I was just done. It was a decision fueled by those painful days... never make a car decision based on pain/emotion, I know now. Damn it.
If you notice I don't speak much about it, it's because I'm angry at myself for selling it, and getting this out isn't easy. I need to get over it, and this is me trying to get over it. Sorry about the rant/over sharing.

14 years total. Started with a 96 GLT wagon that I bought off an ebay auction from a sketchy car lot in NJ. Then a platinum wagon and a slew of others until 2016 when I bought an extremely clapped out 98 v70xc that was only ever used to test abs modules.
I bought a 98 s70 NA 5-speed last week. It had been sitting for a year and has no keys. After I register it next week I'll order keys.
In 2014 I bought a 2000 s70 at auction for $1400 with 120k on it. I drove it for two years then my daughter drove it from when she turned 16 until she graduated college. I made her give it up because at that point I was starting to get tired of working on cars, she's real cheap and wanted to keep driving it. That car cost me all of $1600 over 7 years/80k in maintenance/repairs/tires.

Had my S70 for about 10 years. Bought it with a jumped timing belt due to water pump failure (Hepu, real $hit brand imo). Did the head and after that it has just been maintenance really. no major things. Sometimes I’m thinking about selling it but I know I’ll regret it. Super comfy seats and it feels bullet proof.
