Man alive some of these SPA cars look so good. I see photos of them daily in my work, and they're really starting to creep into my heart.

I really like the V60, maybe even the first gen better, and have wondered if we should commit to finding a nice one with the engine and AWD we want. Less space in the back than Betty the P2. There's a sweet black 1st gen V60 rolling around town here.

Impressive how they've designed the platform to be so flexible. VW Group has a series of maybe three basic platforms for different sized cars, but that may be already being superseded by their new electric efforts, which I understand is based on one battery skateboard platform.

I'm not into suv's, but that's what's selling, and they're smart to have that engineered in to this platform.

Interesting, I find myself saying, "Oh, the P3 is just a Ford." But your information points to the Fords etc as actually being Volvos underneath.

Yea, first gens are super good-looking also. Man if I had some money I'd get one of the blue V60 Polestar models and drive it carefully on weekends. And garage it all other times. Baby it. Those things are going to fetch quite a dollar in 20 years. Maybe 10 years.

Yep, classic chicken/egg discussion there. I don't have a horse in that race, but I've read a few of those discussions.

I'd just like to drive something a little rare. Those V60 Polestars fit the bill. Or a big (not stock) turbo manual 240 from the late 70s, with steelies. Either would be so much fun.

Maybe convert a late 70s 262 to a turbo with standard shift? You'll have a one of a kind. Personally I wish I bought
a early 90s 780 turbo and kept it for weekends... June

I really like the V60s too, beautiful exterior and interior. I've been resisting test driving a local used 2019 S60. The photo above validates I could sell my truck and tow a trailer with the newer Volvo.
