Just wondering...
Can you remove the airbag and leave it at home for "transplant" job later?
Just drive the car to the dealer w/o the airbag, telling them you bought the car like that haha???

A small price to pay for getting things like AWD with M56br0dy519 wrote: 14 Jul 2022, 13:35 I never understood Volvo's reasoning on these recalls. It's like they pretend Canada is an ice block year round. We regularly get 40deg C temperatures when factoring in humidity. It's like the fuel pump recall. How can you isolate it to certain states when we get crippling temperatures in the north? /rant

I got the fuel pump done on Volvos dime on my 2002 S60 with 170k miles here in the northern US. It was not on the list but a call to Volvo US to open a case and they covered it. Maybe a cabin smelling like gasoline was helpful in convincing them?br0dy519 wrote: 14 Jul 2022, 13:35 I never understood Volvo's reasoning on these recalls. On the airbags my dealer has me on "a list"...need to call them again as I've yet to get either of my S60s done.

Anyone else getting the airbag recall done?
Called my local Volvo dealer today and was told they don't expect more airbags in until late November. Crazy.

I had both my XC70 and S60 done in June. I had to call the dealer and schedule an appointment two weeks in advance for them to order the airbags. It was otherwise uneventful.
