Volvo 850. Bought in 2006 in disrepair 1,2$. Replaced the body, related parts. Restored for several years. Invested $5.5. All work except painting, did himself. Since then all is well.

So apparently they have their fans. I noticed today that they're sitting closer to where they should. Other than the wipers I don't have any reason to take the frontend apart, so they'll stay for now. Otherwise, I'd likely remove all of that system.

From a practical point of view, yes, a bit pricey. From the point of view, with your own hands, for the soul. It's free. :)

I bought some motors to replace my dead ones, just because I find headlight wipers cool

Bought my first, a '96 GLT (NA) sedan back '14 when I was looking for a manual DD. The car was kind of beat, but ran well and I started to like it.

A couple years later, we bought my wife her '97 GLT (LPT) and I started to delve more into the turbos. A year later I bought my '97 T5 and scrapped the '96 GLT (Saved parts for the new cars). It's manual currently resides in my T5.

We both really like these cars. I don't see her giving hers up any time soon.
'97 854 T5 - Manual Swap/M4.4/COP/NA cams/P2R Brakes/16T/ chassis bracing/ XC70 nose swap
'97 855 GLT - Hers. RN swap/16T/COP/VVT/exhaust/302s/Flashed M4.4/ chassis bracing/ 2 kid seats
'78 GLE - Waiting in the wings. Future whiteblock/T5 swap.

The Others- '83 TBird turbo, '85 Mercury Marquis LTS (1 of 134), '86 LTD Wagon, '81 Granada GL, '76 Beetle, '93 F-150 I6
