2007 XC70 Postive Crankcase pressure after pcv replacement

Post by OttoBKilt »

Hello I just recently got a 2007 xc70 with 119,000 miles on it. I had pulled the dipstick to check the pcv system and I saw smoke from there and the oil cap at idle. I bough the pcv kit from idpusa and replaced the system, made sure to blow air into the bottom engine hole and felt air come from the oil fill cap so I think none of the ports were clogged. When the engine was put back together there is still positive pressure at idle that gets worse when the engine is revved. I then did a dry warm compression test the results were

Cyl 1, 135
Cyl 2, 128
Cyl 3, 120
Cyl 4, 100
Cyl 5, 130

Am I correct to assume that I am just experiencing blowby causing positive pressure? Are there any other things I should try to do so the pcv system will operate correctly? Any help is appreciated!
