Hey all, I'm attempting to connect CEM and ECU on bench.. using a basic harness following Volvo wiring diagrams.. there's only 2 lines between the two.
VlDA shows CEM online but no ECU. Do the additional CAN low/high lines coming from ECU need to be terminated with a resistor?
Edit:
Re-added resistor and was able to see ECU online after few tries, looks like the hardness was bad or had corrosion

I dont understand so much of what ive read here, and holy shit, I really want to. can i pay one of you all to, be it t5luke, vtl, or whoever has done all of this work to explain it to me? i just wanna do some vdash stuff on my moms c70, my 04 R, and my 07 s80. there was something about an arduino program but the last few pages t5luke has a basic EXE thing for dice to run? (that my computer found a trojan in, weirdly enough)
i dont understand things easily until i can do it for myself, so this is a whole mf handful. thanks in advance. you guys apparently do incredible work and deserve some money for your time out here handing us cem pins like its candy.

Just check out the last 5 or so pages.
The program posted in last several post is clean.. false positive
Edit:
What year is the c70?
04R you'll likely need to follow the BDM method
S80: you should have success there

There is no trojan in it. Windows defender sees a few bytes in a row that also exist in a Trojan program so it flags it. Rickhaleparker ran it through multiple virus scanners after I found the same thing and everything except windows defender says it's safe

Can't be of much help on the C70 perhaps someone else can chime in.
Here's a reference of the different cem modules: https://xemodex.com/us/central-electron ... for-volvo/

The 2007 C70 is a P1. The Arduino cracker will get the 6 Byte CEM Pincode.
T5lukes's UDS cracker might get a UDS 5 Byte CEM Pincode but to date nobody has verified that it works on a P1.

okay, so i guess what i dont understand is what arduino thing i need to build or buy. i have absolutely no experience in anything like that, so seeing thats theres a program is cool and all, but the thing to make that all work does register in any way whatsoeverjaywats wrote: ↑01 Sep 2022, 00:3204 R: If its using the brick style CEM, Arduino code on page 218, diagram page 220.Bosozokuvolvo wrote: ↑31 Aug 2022, 22:17
