Good to know, thanks. I do have some plastic dip and planned to try it on an old key. If it works well the other Volvo key will get a couple of coats.

Got an Autel 802 but have not read the manual so don't know how to use it well. Can't decipher most of the codes but did managed to clear all the lights, except... The Service Light will come on at start up and go out after a few minutes. The car will hiccup (low revs) and stall from time to time when rev'd. The previous flashing arrow will appear for a split second from time to time also when rev'd. Could it be a bad alternator as the dash lights when I was trying to reset them kind of diminish a little from time to time? It took awhile to clear all the codes, not everything cleared up at one time.

Can't test drive it yet as the Title is not here. Mileage and odometer has returned also but what is in the area right of the digital time.

The blurry dash are from tape residue when the previous owner put tape on it to cover the lights. I can understand the flashing arrow but the other areas.

Service light is reset using the key and the trip meter button if I recall. It should be in the handbook or google it.

Brother purchased a new 93 850. I didn't care for them back then. Joined MVS when I purchased the 98 S70 T5. Was about to quit Volvos altogether when the 03 S80 T6 went out. I do help with my Son's 08 C30 T5 M66 but he doesn't like me driving it anymore and I'm indifferent to a 6 speed so it works out well. He knows if his grades are not good the car privilege is gone . As soon as he graduates and get a job the Title will be in his name.

So with the two new Projects I'm looking into learning DICE VIDA now. I'm partial to the S70 round hood and lights so I hope you'll get one and we can work on it together. Thanks for the Service Light info. It's reset now. The Title is still forth coming but I'm stocking up on parts.

Acquired these Orpheus today for the Project 2007 S60 2.5T. They were from an 05 S60 if I remember correctly from the owner. Was thinking perhaps the S70 and found the pic below on duckduckgo. I know, the window regulator (03 Odyssey), too many cans of warm. Thank God my mind is not stressed.

Finally got my Title and was able to register it this week. Second trip to Costco with it today. Found 2 really worn and really gummy keys and what looks like house keys in the ashtray. The 2 keys that came with the car were a second set and one was in bad shape. Image how worn and soft were those I found. You ever wonder what is the Key to finding that strong crayon smell in Volvos?

Used a snap off blade knife to shave off large chucks then paper towels to rub and break away more gummy parts. Scrubbed and scrubbed with a tooth brush and soap then finally a strong thumb nail to scrape some small difficult areas. Fingers and arms are a little stiff and flesh on thumb is raw. Discovered the red key is the valet while trying to load Costco's groceries .

Best I can do for now. Plan on covers or coating with Plastic Dip or another color in the Liquid Electrical Tape coating.

I still have one S70 whose canbus won’t go quiet. It turns out if this happens VIDA refuses to validate a key , so cherish those keys , remembering if you lose them, you have a very large brick.

Looking good! That 426? Silver is a gorgeous colour, rich and creamy.

Done up in blueprint blue……

The 98-00 S/V70 is the perfect blend of box and rounded edges of styling in my taste bucket.

My daughter loves hers and none of her coworkers can guess in what decade it was made.
