The only thing I don’t like about that place is they don’t put their cars up on anything. I don’t take anything off the lower parts of cars there unless they are already propped up. It’s too much of a production to haul all that extra weight in there with jack stands, jack, power tools and your other tools. I’d be game to get them for you all if the car is already up in the air. They just got a couple XC70’s in that I want to look at. I’ll take another look at the car and see if it’s something I can do.FireFox31 wrote: ↑10 Sep 2022, 22:54Those look like Nivomats in one picture. Are they worth taking?
The car was maintained, such as having a new VVT solenoid, new coolant tank, and some new coils (which I took). Maybe some of the suspension and other AWD parts are new. Aren't the rear dust shields and calipers hard to find (and hard to remove)?
I am tempted to go back and take the rear seats and third seat. Hopefully the car is still there in mid November when that would be possible. I could bring jack stands but don't have a portable jack to lift it.

If anyone sees this 2000 XC70 again, don't try to open the front right door. I took that lock/latch, preventing the door from closing, so I tried to pin it shut with a piece of wire to keep out rain. No point in opening that door since an SUV was placed so close that it could only open a few inches. Removing that front right seat through the front left door took some effort.

If someone looks at that car again, please take off the two nuts on the eccentric bolts on the rear stays , and try to tap the bolts forward and out with a thick punch.
Those eccentric bolts and washers are no longer available.
There are two styles, one with an integral head eccentric washer and one with a hex head separate washer, which are interchangeable.
If the stays are decent , please harvest those , too. About $150-200 each new

Please post part diagram and note the desired parts using their diagram numbers. That would help anyone who gets there, but also might serve as a reference for others taking these parts from junkyards.
Visiting this car again in November is on my wish list.
