I'm scavenging a bunch of piece parts from a donor passenger seat I pulled from a junkyard. I've run into a roadblock trying to remove the power seat control connector (and the other connectors) from their dock under the seat.
The tunnels in the dock have rails at the bottom and what looks like a locking mechanism.
I've tried using a flathead to depress and lift the mechanism, but the connector won't budge.
What's the trick to removing these connectors from the dock?

it looks like you have to pull the red tab on the side.
also, spray with silicone lube , grab the grey plastic body with pliers and twist side to side to work it loose, then pull .

I was able to figure out the procedure, which is less than intuitive. While you depress the locking mechanism under the connector, then you need to push the connector forward further INTO the dock. Basically threading it and some length of its wires into the dock until it's no longer on the rails, after which there is enough clearance at the top of the tunnel to pull the connector back through the dock.
I believe those red tabs are part of the mechanism in the connector to remove the wires.
