Hey friend got a xc90 2003 2.5t and wanted to know if anyone knows about coil packs fringe up at the connection and wire

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "fringe up"... But coil packs do reach an age where they start to sometimes misfire and need replacement. I've generally seen this somewhere in the ~150k to ~180k miles area, although some go less and some go more. If you're getting codes for random misfires, it's definitely a possibility.
