2003 xc70

Post by Porkchop32 »

Good afternoon.
My xc70 has developed an oil leak just at the turbo drain connection at the base of the turbo housing. Other than taking the awd chunk out are there any other methods to stopping the leaking. At least that is where I believe the leak is located.
Thank
P

It’s a lot easier on a lift with anAWD.

I think the stock bolts are H5 hex internal head on m6 threads. A bit odd ball. A ball H5 head makes this easier

get the gasket and bottom green O ring for the pipe, extended drive allen hex head to get up there.
I paid $7 at the dealership for the parts. Its awkward getting the bolts started.
Remove the drain pipe, clean the top, let dry and stick the gasket in place with gasket shellac.
Try FCP for the extended hex socket driver.
