VIO is the I/O voltage the chip is required to communicate to the teensy with, 3.3 or 5V.
With a 3.3v I/O on the teensy you wire the CAN transceivers VIO pin to the 3.3V source from the Teensy

Voltage Input Output. It determines the I/O logic level.

So furthering on with the parts sourcing I found thr sn65hvd230 but not the sn65hvd230dr. I looked through the datasheet to find out what the difference between the 230 & 230dr. , there isn't any mention of the Dr in the datasheet from what i can see , assuming in reading the latest revision , so I think I'm good to go with that. , and there functionally identical. , tried to find some pic transceivers the one I mentioned and it would appear that stock is limited. Now I found another one of my suppliers does have around 5000 odd of the 230's , so I'll go for them i reckon. My other question. there is a resistor on the cem cracker. Squmatic Build picture. Its on the far right and it says 120 , is that 120ohms , or 120k ??
Thanks

R = Tape and Reel.
The difference between D & DR is when you order bulk as D your requesting the parts packaged in tubes, ordered as DR your requesting the parts packaged on Tape and Reel. For small quantity this is meaningless. The retail suppler will cut your order from his tube or reel.

Hello to everyone, read all the pages on this topic, just don't understand how do you calculate the checksum when you edit the config? My car is 2005 s40 so it's P1, I have read 2 cpus (one is 128 and the other 256) with carprog and I would like to turn off DRL,. So looking at the parameters I know which byte to change but can't figure how to do the checksum. Any pointers?

I don't think it works that way You use the cracker to get the password code to change things within , and use the aftermarketele288 wrote: ↑07 Oct 2022, 14:16 Hello to everyone, read all the pages on this topic, just don't understand how do you calculate the checksum when you edit the config? volvo suite , the name escapes me at the moment.
You can use cem cracker or read directly from cpu and find the pin. If you look at page 9 there is details where the config is, but if you change any byte you have to recalculate checksum but can't figure this out yet
