I found the second sensor in that spot but will look for the one mentioned. Before and after cleaning the contacts, either way the codes always come back immediately after clearing?

The 2 sensors are the same. The one in the lower LH grille is for the internal temp gauge that indicates outside temperature. The other one is the engine sensor for external temp. Try swapping them over and see if the problem clears. If it does, does the external temp readout still work on the dash?

I swapped the 2 sensors and the dash outside temp still worked so both were good.

Here is what I found potentially was the problem as the code is gone for now. While removing the passenger head light, weren't bolted yet, to see how the high beam cover snapped on I found the following wire missing.

Found a piece of old electrical cord and removed the ground wire inside. Had it's own green wire covering when sliced out of the cord. Intertwined the wires on both ends and use shrink tape with adhesive coating on the inside of the wire. Lord willing the code won't be back!
