Just as a point of info - I tried the car-part.com search engine, and got many hits on trailer hitches. I contacted about 20 of them, waiting for responses. I only wrote to yards with an actual photo of the correct hitch.

It's incredibly rare that I've gotten a response from a yard on car-part unfortunately. Usually they'll only answer the phone, which is annoying because I HATE phone calls. Email is so much easier for stuff like that.

Looking for the LH (driver's side) mounting bracket for an 850 sedan rear bumper (part number 6816115). My brackets are corroded and ruined. Volvo had the right hand side in stock but the left hand side is OOS/NLA so I just need the one for the left/driver's side. Doesn't need to be mint, just not a flaky pile of iron oxide.

Could you possibly drill out holes and make the RHS one fit?? Later on in the P80 platform, these parts became the same , maybe that part might fit with some mods?

You definitely need a west junkyard for these. They are all rusty out East

I need the part sooner than later as my R is going in for bodywork, so I ended up ordering a second one and intend to give that a try. I'll make a post in the relevant forum for future reference if it works.

True story
I'll occasionally use URO stuff for parts like that, that don't matter all that much. I bought a URO alternator air duct for my brother's E36 a few weeks ago, and that's just fine. I doubt it'll hold up, but to be fair the original ones don't either!
