850 Fan not operating completely stumped. Help!!!

I have the same issue with my T5R, what I figured out was a ground issue so far too. So i did a temporary ground wire from the fan, by-passed the relay and went to the battery directly. This seems to help with the fan to come on when it needed to when I was road testing and idling the car that was a few months again. So i believe its a issue around the relay or the connections. I haven't driven the car since because i moved to a new house and finally finishing up a area to work on my Volvos. And will be overhauling the whole engine compartment and wiring.
