ABS Light 96 850

Hello! I've been having a problem lately with my 96 850, 121000 mi. Sometimes when I start up, the abs light comes on and I can't take it out of park. If I turn it off, many times I can restart with no problem and drive away. But when I use the shift override,and go into gear, the speedometer and turn signals don't work. I've checked the fuses and none are blown, other than that I don't know what to do. Can anyone help? Thanks, Steve

It sounds to me like the electrical portion of the ignition switch is failing. The next time it acts up try just jiggling the key around, it that clears the problem then you need a new switch. Fortunately it is a relatively cheap part and it is very easy to replace.
