No ... You can build a cracker with a K-Line but it is only useful with the CEM-B through the OBDII connector. If you tap the CEM-B CAN on a port other the the OBDII port you do not need K-line. It not worth the extra effort to add K-line to a cracker. As VTL pointed out, you can tap the CAN-LS and CAN-HS at the REM instead of going through the OBDII connector. No K-Line required if you tap at REM.

The cracker code can talk to a CEM-B but it cannot crack a CEM-B.

The seller only sells them in sets of 10 so i purchased 20 . I figured if I mess up 1 or 2 I have some spare transceivers. , as there obsolete there might be a module I have or ecu that needs an emergency transceiver transplant. So figured also it might be useful. Oh and I'm abit of a horder.

We have pretty much given up on cracking the old 99-04 CEMs right?

Even so, if I take a dump of my CEM is there a tool available to edit the config without using the paywall-filled VDASH stuff?

I'm aware of the Volvo tools, but do not have the necessary database files to use them
