Hi all! I've had some trouble with my Volvo since I got her, but recently it's gotten pretty bad. I have over 130,000 miles on it (got it used in May and it had a replaced used engine in it). My check engine light has been on constantly for a couple of months now with random misfires in my cylinders. I had a coolant leak and got that fixed and at the mechanic they also looked at the oil leak and said it was burning and leaking into the spark plugs, causing the misfire. He said that fixing the problem would be about $2000, and my dad said we should just sell the car and get a different one, but I love this car so much and was wondering if anyone knows of any way I could fix this myself or have it done for less.
I believe it was a problem with the valve gasket? I don't know much about cars and their respective parts my bad

This would require removing the cam cover and replacing the spark plug o-rings between the head the came cover. It's not super hard but definitely not a quick job either.
