Problem with SRS module

Post by rexma1301 »

I have a problem with these fault codes. I tried to solve the problem by replacing the seats but fault codes are still present and cannot be cleared. I bought the car with an SRS error on the display, and I assume it has been in a crash. I doubt the SRS remembered the Crash code... Can I replace the SRS module with one from another car, same model/same year? Or maybe there is another solution?

it looks like the whole system is down, I'd look at the connection at the module or try a used one from the salvage yard.

I checked the connections on the module, everything looks perfectly fine. I'll try with another module, if that doesn't work I'll send the original one to a service to clear the crash data.

I tried another module, but again I get fault codes that cannot be erased even if all the numbers match.

After clearing the airbag crash data, errors still appear among them and some new ones. I don't know what could be the problem, and where to start with solving it.

Not all code readers can erase SRS codes. Other threads have addressed this and readers that will clear the SRS codes.

If Vida/Dice can't clear it, I don't believe it would work with another code reader. Where can I find info about it?

there was a similar problem posted here not too many weeks ago.
the faults are not completely erased, they're actually stored or archived in the main computer ,
Once you hit the max number of clearances it no longer erases the SRS code.

there some sort of reader or software that can delete it.
Its not vida. The answer is here but you'll need to search for it unless someone can remember what it was.
I only read about it for casual reference. But I know that it works.
