This is the OBX system.

I think the noise is worse in the wagon, vs my sedan.

We have to travel a bit tomorrow, so we'll get a better idea how it sounds on the interstate. I can tell a little bit of the edge is knocked off around town. Especially when you're not mashing the loud pedal.

The insulation under the carpet was damaged so I had to patch it using some from the parts car C70

Also got the oil pressure gauge installed properly

Which gauge did you use and is it difficult to install. Never looked into how it works so have no concept at this time. Since I have the ticking in pan and don't know when I'll get to it thought an oil pressure gauge would be good to have for that and in general.

Son drove the Project 2000 S70 for the first time Sunday. Said it was fine but stated the car needed an alignment as it required steering correction on the freeway. He drives the 08 C30 T5 M66 and is use to a tighter suspension.

Found it was 1/16" toe out so made a slight adjustment to zero toe. The rear is toe in by 1/4" so will keep the car straight. Not sure at this time on how to adjust the rear toe and if I did I will need to break out the strings so there would not be too much thrust angle. Steering was centered while making the toe adjustment.

I'm actually doing the same. I started out by pulling the oil fill cap with the intention of cleaning it and installing a new seal. While under the hood, I realized I had not yet checked the air filter on my "new" S70.

It's a nice looking German made Mann filter..... with a split in it  It's in decent enough shape that I would not replace it, if not for the hole. I don't really know how that would have happened.

I have a Mexican made Mann filter in the garage, that I originally bought for the 850. I'll be installing that filter when I go back outside with the clean oil fill cap.

Pm me your address and I’ll send you set of the nice SS belmetric cone nuts just for being so cool.
Thank you very much..... but what is a cone nut? I didn't see any "cone nut" on the Belmetric website. Currently, I have the OEM Volvo nuts, which I guess are what I'd call a flanged acorn nut. Maybe you're pulling my leg again by calling them by another tree product?

While I was in there, doing what I said, from the previous post, I also swapped in the new HVAC filter. The old one was pretty bad. It looks like it was one of the charcoal types which made it look dirty, but it had visible dirt/leaves when prying the pleats apart. It was very nicely constructed with a plastic frame, and rubber seal. The new Mahle I installed was much more cheaply made, with no plastic frame, just some foam and a couple of wing pleats. The one I removed had no branding on it, that I could see, unfortunately.

Normally guilty of that but I got spell-punked to cone nut. They are acorn nuts
