V70 2.4 na 2006 fuel pump not buzzing

Post by rexma1301 »

Today my car shut off while driving, I couldn't start it, crank but no start. I dragged it home, connected it to Vida, but there are no codes. I noticed that when I turn on the ignition, I don't hear the pump buzzing. The fuel pump fuse is ok, as far as I can see there is no relay for it. I checked the voltage at the pump connection, it is present. I connected it directly to 12V and it works, you can hear it. After that, the car starts normally, I didn't try to drive it, I tried it several times and it starts without problems, but when the ignition is turned on, the pump still doesn't buzz. What could be the problem? What else could I check? Maybe PEM?

Yes, I saw that video... I don't have that option, probably because the ECM is not updated

I would try a used PEM in that case.

I found a solution. The problem was that a few days ago I changed the SRS module with another in order to solve the problem with the fault codes that cannot be cleared. That attempt did not work and I returned the old original SRS module but I did not screw it to the chassis, I just connected it, because I plan to send the device to delete Crash data... The car started normally and there were no fault codes. I assume that the SRS module receives mass through the chassis, considering that it was not screwed in, it lost mass while driving and, because of that, the car shut down, and at the same time the CEM registered as if the airbag had been activated, because when I did the adaptation via Vida "Resetting crash mode" the fuel pump started buzzing again when the ignition was switched on.
