It's EGR valve solenoid...part # confirms that.

On earlier models...solenoid was used for EGR valve...on later models it was used for SAS valve.

So...on later models(M4.4) it is located on fan shroud and was used for SAS system.

well hidden under the intake manifold. Left hand, the part that was stayed on the V.I.S.V.S. under the intake manifold , on right hand the hose to connect. I've succeeded in plug it in again, but i need to replace that gummy part quickly. I have to see if the part is available or just the end in gummy.

Skandix says this part fits for my 850, and Volvo web store says no. Who to believe ? Is it the right part ?

A '95 with LH 3.2 Jetronic and...of course...VVIS.

I completely forgot about VVIS.

So...the same solenoid with same part # is used for EGR,SAS and VVIS.

I missed VVIS.

I've ordered connectors to my Volvo dealer. Hope they are still available. Maybe on Friday. But i will dig this subject deeper. I want to understand what is this system for and what is the goal from each part ( excepted the obvious ones). I'm here to learn...
