Cheap Chinese DiCE clone and counterfeit VIDA. Ask around, somebody from your local Volvo gang has it for sure.

So we have some pretty qualified techs and equipment in our gang here, But nobody here knows what a DICE or VIDA, is as Volvo is not something that we really get involved with. That's why I'm here!!!
Anyway I did do some research and came across these 2 items but I'm not sure if that's what I need.

Search "Volvo DiCE" on eBay, you need one that looks like a brick.

Hello. Hope everyone had a nice Holiday Season. So I purchased this Dice/VIDA "Brick" and now it is sitting on my bench.
Before I attack this endeavor, is there a tutorial or Instruction manual on how to go about using it so that I don't mess anything up? I haven't attempted anything yet. Thanks

Thanks for the links and video. After glancing I'm sure I can work my way through this but I noticed something about a downloading from a "disc" and software. The unit I purchased did not come with anything besides the unit itself.

have a look https://www.ebay.com/itm/175474352502 And I just noticed in the description that it says " no VIDA software is supplied".

So I'm guessing I need something else?

Did you ever figure this out? If so, could you tell me what you used?

I am having the same issue in a 2007 Volvo S60 that I just bought. I’m getting a CCM code 0071 “Damper motor faulty position”.

I also don’t know how to get to it…can I get to it by removing the glove box or does the whole dash have to come out? This is my first Volvo, so I’m trying to get familiar with it. Thanks in advance!
