I will take the MB E320 - delivered to Oklahoma please.FireFox31 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2022, 10:45 Now I feel a little better about having "only" five cars. I feel like a sucker for having license plates and registration for all five. My goal was to plate one, fix it, sell it, then move the plates to the next, repeat, repeat. Unfortunately, I'm working on all of them at once, constantly moving them on public roads, so they must be legal.
The temptation is that once I sell one car, I'll have an unused registration paid for until my birthday, so I could easily get another P80 to use that registration...
My goal is to have two cars, the T5M and the E350. A pair of 2000 V70 NA automatic will be for sale, one sooner (Geronimo) and later (G70, once I know the T5M is solid). And... anyone want a rusty Benz E320? Anyone? Junkyard?

Part of me wants to rescue every P80 wagon I reasonably can. Too bad there's no money in it. If only I could convince people that these cars, once rehabilitated, are sturdy and reliable. Let's see how the sale of Geronimo works.
If one rear spring weren't snapped in half, I'd be comfortable driving it long distances. Does OK care about body rust punching holes in the side and bottom of the car? That's why I can't keep it.volvolugnut wrote: ↑15 Dec 2022, 17:04I will take the MB E320 - delivered to Oklahoma please.

In the interest of helping others convince their partners of the sanity and normality of owning multiple Volvos (and other vehicles), I will add my fleet statistics:
10 Volvos (5 wagons)
11 Mercedes (2 wagons - I like wagons)
1 Smart
1 Honda
4 Fords (3 trucks and one 1938 Sedan)
Total 27. Some all just shells and useful only for minor parts. I have land out of town for storage.

Here in the Wild West, we have NO inspection for anything. If it moves you can drive it.FireFox31 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2022, 17:15Part of me wants to rescue every P80 wagon I reasonably can. So I find myself today sitting in my xc90 parked in front of a bowling alley waiting for a ride. The xc90 died sitting in traffic and I pushed her off the road into the parking lot so as not to worsen traffic. So far with nothing more than a multitool I've been able to determine the engine turns over (slowly), plenty of fuel at the rail, can't check spark without more tools. Check engine light on when cranking. If only I had remembered to leave the jump pack on the car so I could at least try that.
