We have an old, well used 850 we need to get out of our carport.
Considering that these days pristine 850s can be had for next to nothing, or that I'd often find them in better condition at Pick n Pull than the one I drove there in (this car)... I do not anticipate much interest in the car but I would like to offer it here, free to a good home, before I scrap it myself for the pocket change. I know that I can list it on Craigslist or something, but that would likely end up in some bozo who probably doesn't even like Volvos just scrapping it for metal like I would do myself.
I'd rather it go to someone from here (or someone into Volvos ) who could use it for a parts car or even fix it up as a driver if wanted. Maybe someone here has a teenager that could use a spare 850 to wrench on.
Or you could send it to the scrapper yourself. I don't care. In the big picture, it really doesn't matter. (Just don't tell me)
It does have a set of basically brand new tires on it, probably 1k on them. Also radiator/thermo newish (3k miles)
Gray/silver Sedan. Base model with auto trans.
It's a beater but it does run. Needs refilling coolant/water often because of leak somewhere. Don't really know. Maybe even head gasket. Has been sitting for 2 years.
Do have the title.
