1998 S70 Vol-Fcr win 10

I have 1998 that I am trying to pull some CCM codes on. I have downloaded the demo version of Vol-Fcr 1.3. I have the VAG Kkl usb cable set to com1 on the laptop. I can’t get the software to work or connect to car. I have lowered the baud rate but no luck. When I try to initiate coms I get an error. I can take a picture of it the next time I hook up. The software loads up fine at at least it appears to.

Could it be the demo version? I hate to buy it if the demo version is. It working.

I am not running the ftdi version.

Vol-fcr works only with win XP.

You need an old laptop with serial(db9)to obdII cable...or to install xp emulator on win10 since you have usb to obdII cable.

Pretty sure 850 OBDII will read CCM codes.

I got it to work with virtual box and xp prior while on mac os el capitan, hope it helps

Did you need to install the "guest additions"? Also which cable did you use?

Yea i believe in installed one, i had a blue vag com kkl cable with the FT232 chip inside (BLUE CABLE), was a china order special. The ELM327 one does not work for VOLFCR.

Well I got the virtual box XP running within windows 10 with the demo vol fcr program. The VAG cable will not install in the virtual machine. It shows up as a yellow ? In the device manager. Any attempts to manually load the drivers are not working.

I will check to see if guest additions is loaded.

I have the kkl vag-com. Blue cable for 409.1
