Do you have the owners hand book? I think it was written in there, but I may be wrong. Sorry been about 10 years since I had a 850 with that unit on it.

I've replaced the Idle Control Valve yesterday and things started to come to normal. But, after have waited 15 mn idling, the coolant gauge, to the top, came to the bottom and get again to the top. The ODB gives me wrong information. Approxymatly, each 5 minutes, i loose 10 km of autonomy, which is wrong. The last time i did a long trip (2 weeks ago) it was the case, but after 1/2 ho on the motorway, this information started to grow up again. May be i should drive a bit, following Misha's idea, to let the control unit retrieve its normal data.
This morning, i started the car, it got to its normal gauge level on the speedometer, but the announced consumption drops from 10 km regularly. Then engine stopped as if it was running out of air.
What i know :
- the coolant sensor is new,
- the thermostat coolant is new
- the Idle control valve is a "used" part,
- Cam pulse sensor is new,
- i'm gonna replace the throttle position sensor (BOSCH) (replaced the inside seal btw)
- The throttle bdy has been cleaned up, new paper seal,
Tracks :
- Oxygen sensors (both) ?
- Knock sensor under the intake manifold ( ground fault) ?
- Distributor cap (which have been replaced in 2019) ?
- The MAF (one is on its way with abscate help.
What is this part for ? Has it something to matter with the Idling ? Manov

Ect or it's wiring are bad.
Ect being bad...the engine ecu doesn't know what is the engine temperature and don't know how much fuel to inject and engine can stall, cut out or will not start.
Driveablility and engine running is compromised.
More-less...the symptoms you have.

Thanks Misha. I will do a drive test tomorrow. I think that to have used a bad idle control valve may have send wrong data to the ECT. After have driven 200 miles before the new issue, everything was fine. To drive for 100 kms should bring back ECT to reason...

When engine is idling...ect sends signal to ecu and then ecu sends signal to iac valve for idle speed.
Iac valve is active only when engine is at idle &
gas pedal at rest...as soon as you press the gas pedal iac valve is closed and throttle plate takes the induction of air to the engine.
TPS sensor is there to tell the ecu how much throttle plate is open(what is engine load) and ecu knows how much fuel to inject depending on engine load.
On closed loop engine gets paramaters from MAF,ECT & o2 sensors....again TPS is there to tell ecu what engine load is.
