I've installed the part received this morning. No change. The idling goes normal and when the engine begins to be warmed, it stops. The coolant gauje doesn't move up also. The fan started to turn a while then stopped. The relay is a bit warm which could be normal when the fan has spinned a little.

I've replace the IDLE Control Valve : no change.
I've replaced the MAF : no change.

Could it be the throttle position sensor ? I've ordered a new one that should be here Thursday.
The lambda sensors ?

ECT sensor or it's wiring.

Check from both....sensor side and engine wiring loom side.

Engine temp gauge and cooling fan behavior are classic symptoms of bad ECT(or it's wiring).

I will check these points, but my ECT sensor is new which doesn't mean that it couldn't be out ... My buddy at Volvo told me that it might come from the knock sensor I've badly screwed (understand, not enough when i did my PCV kit - i unscrewed it by mistake). He also recommends me to control grounds contact points.

And I've ordered lambda sensors because after 20 years, it can't hurt.

Thanks for you advice misha.

Dead and erratic temperature gauge in the instrument cluster can't be from bad knock sensor.

I've replaced it while i was doing the PCV kit. It's true that the issue came just after. I've driven 200 kms before to see appear the trouble... I will test the thing whit the old one.

It's a FAE

I would look into the 141 and 122 for your engine issues. 122 may be the engine coolant sensor (ECT) at the thermostat, I am not sure on what 141 is triggered by as you car is not fly by wire. I'll have to do some research!
