Non-Volvo J2534 tool for VIDA

I have been using 1024D VIDA and a knock-off DICE for years quite successfully for diagnostics. They have been great.

However, I now need to program some key/transponders. So I got a three-day subscription to the current VIDA only to discover that it refuses to talk to the car through my DICE. They did warn me. It was a $100 gamble.

Now comes the interesting bit. I have three Volvo's now and am willing to pay for a Genuine DICE, but It turns out that supply of Volvo DICE units have a long lead time and I would like to be done with this task sooner instead of later.

However, the Autel MaxiFlash Elite J2534 tool is available from Autel through Amazon right now. The insinuate that it will work with OEM software, specifically VIDA. I have seen video of it working with 2014D, but not any edition newer than that.

My question is does anyone know if the Autel will actually work with the current VIDA, 22.15.0.205? Are there other options out there for $1,000 or less?
