Hi Swedish, PM me on MVS and we can set up trying to get that expander to you. Do you have the small dowel pin that holds it onto the end of the cable? Those used to be available. I will see if I have any spares. They are like a little cylinder about the width of the expander and the diameter of the hole in the end of it to attach to the cable.

On it

And I found one dowel pin, but was going to look for more or make some, shouldn't be too difficult. Might even be able to taper and/stake it to help keep it in place. The one I've found seems very short and is small enough to fall out easily. Even with grease I'd hate to risk it working its way out.

Just an fyi, I sent you a PM, or at least I think I did... Only reason I'm skeptical is because it only shows in my outbox and not the sent messages folder. Im assuming that's normal for some reason and it sent but if there is something I'm missing and it isn't as simple as hitting send on a PM, someone feel free to let me know.

Much appreciated!

It stays in the Outbox until the receiver opens it. It helps so you know if it has been received. Hopefully now I have read it it is gone from there.

For those that don't know this is the AWD parking brake expander:

The small dowel pin fits in the hole at the LH end of the expander as per the picture.

The dowel has to be short enough to fit between the sides of the expander as it closes up like a clamshell which then retains the parking brake cable in place:

The pin is offset just to show it more clearly. When the arm and pin are centered they go between the outer sides to lock the cable in place.

Hope this helps,

Neil.
