06 V70 2.5 T... wet carpet issue
MDK here. So from the last post I had water coming in from behind the dash on the passenger side carpet was soaked. I took it back to the guys that installed the windshield and they said they couldn't find a problem. I took the trim off and they had put 4 globs of butyl about the size of a 1/2 dollar on the attaching points because they broke the clips. Instead of going over the finer points of the law with those gorillas I decided to take things into my own hands. I cut and scraped all of it off and ran a nice thick bead of silicone down the side and part way under the glass. I ordered new clips for the trim. It rained pretty hard yesterday and no leaks. Scott 850 was right. I'll put the carpet and the rest of trim back on tomorrow.. sheesh!!
