Tell me about S70 wipers with the wing

My 99 S70 has a wing or spoiler, or whatever you want to call it on the driver's side windshield wiper. I looked at it today because the rubber insert was coming out of the frame and making a snapping sound. I had never looked at it up close until today, and found that it's a Volvo part. I got the rubber/squeegee put back where it's supposed to be, but I'm wondering if there's a way to replace the wiper and retain the wing (air deflector?).

The passenger side is completely different, and looking for branding was difficult because it's wet with snow. Did this side originally have the wing, as well?

It was known as a wiper muffler

They were only fitted to driver side arm

I think the nice winged P80 wipers went NLA from Volvo during Covid

No, what I have is a wing/spoiler/air-deflector. I'm assuming it's designed to add pressure to the wiper as it clears the window.

So the wing was replaced with the wiper and not moved to a new wiper?

The wing was to prevent the driver's side arm from lifting at speed. There were complaints early on of this being an issue.
