Seeking recommendation for Volvo mechanic in Stamford, CT [W. Jennings Euro Car Specialists in Southport CT]

Hi
My daughter is moving to the Stamford, CT area with her trusty P2 2005 S60. It's too far away for me to be able to work on the car for her, can anyone recommend an honest shop in the area that can cover her for all but the most major repairs? She loves the car but understands the economics of a 15 year old Volvo and is close to just getting a Honda or Toyota, but she would really like to keep the s60, if we can find a fair shop.

Stamford Riley Volvo has been good for me. However costs are high, and so far having had no chances to speak with mechanics contributes to transparency concerns. I’d also like to find an independent shop in the area as an option. Good luck!

Check with user trishp in Stamford , I think she has a guy she likes. I know a mobile guy, too.

Did you get any leads on mechanics in the Stamford area you would care to share? I’m in the area and need same. I’m trying one near Stratford soon and will inform you if there’s potential. Good luck. O.

I did not get any leads from the list. Based on web searches, this one seems to have good reviews. I would probably use this one or the Volvo dealer ($$$ouch) if needed.

Autotech looks interesting. I’ll inform about Stratford if it has potential. I prefer Stamford Volvo over Westport. When dealer uses Volvo parts they are guaranteed “for life”. On the other hand you may supply your own.

I got Stratford and Stamford mixed up, sorry about that. PeteB might know a decent garage in Trumbull area, I’ll check with him, too.

I’ll be settled in across the Sound in NY buts it’s $120 to get car over the ferry to me.
