There are three bolts holding the window motor or regulator to the door. Looks like they are really two bolts held together head-to-head with some sort of rubber-like material. I suppose this is to dampen vibration. Anyhow, the rubber failed and the regulator is just hanging there inside the door.
It failed when I was attempting to raise the window. I'm hoping that the rubber failed due to age and not because of any excessive force, although up until this point the window worked just fine.
My question is, do I really need these things? It's Volvo part number 8614615 and they're $12-15 each which seems excessive especially given that I need three of them, plus shipping costs. I'm wondering if I could just use an appropriate size bolt with some rubber washers between the door panel and the regulator. I could pr
Anyone have any suggestions? Whether I order the parts or try another fix, it looks like it's going to be fun getting the existing bolts out of the regulator.

Although I have not heard of this issue, the C70 door regulator system is a bear. Dealer mechanics shudder at working on then as they are so finicky. If the mounts are what I think they are, they probably allow for some movement on the window and doors as they flex more than standard P80 doors. Having them solid may cause more strain on the system. Issue here is if you put more strain on the wires for the lifting system (not the electrical ones but the ones for the moving system) they can break. Once that happens, then although there are aftermarket wire kits to replace those, I have yet to see or hear anyone fitting them. Then the only option is to replace the whole window/door cassette which is $1000 or so and then there is a long process for adjustment to get them aligned correctly and working.
The parts are about $12 each in the US from what I can see from dealers.

C70 window issues ... shudder ... I have always kept far, far away from the P80 C70.

Welcome to the herd; this thread is over six years old, so you may get more traction if you start your own thread. If you can find the part number on a dealer website, try including that in the topic line.
Like the others here, I never had the pleasure of experiencing a C70.
Best of luck.
