Bougicord plug leads NLA from Volvo?

I was looking at possibly swapping the plug leads on my friends car as it is currently fitted with NGK leads. I have heard mixed reviews on those where they either work great or don't. Currently they are running fine and engine is smooth.

I can buy Bougicord leads from Volvo parts suppliers (some still list OE leads) but only in the US.

Has anyone else come across this issue?

Incidentally, I was also looking at Bosch rotor arm/distributor rotor, and the cap. Up here I only found one supplier where the parts were slightly less than Volvo on-line dealer suppliers!

Dealer price was $70 or so and one online aftermarket supplier was $136 for a Bosch! Rotor I could find for $46 which is cheaper than the dealer but by about $20 (all prices in CDN$).

Cap and rotor in Bosch are $78 and $35 USD here

Cap is the same in CDN$ from dealer here and rotor is about $20 CDN more.

G'day Neil

Aas part of my recent search here in Australia for Bougicord Series C-1 spark plug leads Berry Motor Group in Melbourne Victoria Australia have dizzie caps for $135 AUD and rotor buttons at $85 AUD, pretty sure they are Bosch. I though that was on the dear side but everythings getting harder to find for older 850s. Try and get a part number off your existing just in case you are unlucky like me to have a very early dizzy cap that only accepts Bougicord C-1 Series leads not the 403 F class like all the other ten valve B5252S motors, thye are not interchangeable with each other.

Good advice Buster 850! I will watch out. Not sure if I will get another 850, but then you never know. I do help some other local owners from time to time so this type of info is good to have.
