What is yalls input on the mechanical issues based on the video I provided

That timing belt walk may be from a wonky water pump or idler/tensioner. There really isn't any way I can think of to put the belt on wrong if the other components are installed correctly. VVT on the exhaust cam can be a challenge for folks not well versed in P80.
Robert just posted a vid of one very similar he fixed on his CA trip, it was a water pump bearing failure, and the belt looked almost identical. I lost the engine in ( new to me ) Old Blue when the idler bearing failed and the belt walked through the cover. That belt had 20k on it according to the sticker.

Did you notice the cool CD integration into the CDM? Have not seen that on a p80 before. Shows ‘DISC’ in the dash display.

Still not sure how we can make the axle work. 4 hours labor to drop it already puts it out of budget , it’s basically an unsellable part, before moving. Remember once the axle comes off you have to drag it onto a flatbed , too. The only solution might be a DIY retrieval of carcass, but at 1500 miles, that’s already $300 of towing gas, alone

We could do that or... My idea was rent a uhaul pickup or put in back of my red v70 and drive to dallas fastenal location. Yes I see the CD integration but I wonder why I don't feel the enthusiasm about it like I do for the novelty of the 6 DISC changer.

That 'disc' means that whatever your vehicle is trying to measure is disconnected for a signal. Turn the knob to the right and then back and often the signal will reconnect. I get this occasionally with the outside temperature signal.

Heads up. Right away tomorrow morning, I will be updating my v70 wreck post on p80 forums. Giddy! I'm ECSTATIC. Spoiler: I ripped down west main st then east main st. That baby rawwwwwr echoing off of walls of Pine Cellular and FirstBank...I couldn't stop smiling.

Keep your eyes peeled here. Either Sunday or next Friday, Ill strip the parts car of all goodies. I need to know if anyone is interested in buying the engine/trans assembly. Would rather sell it than tear it apart. Foggydogg said its possibly a water pump bearing. At minimum it will need a new timing kit.
