Quick update on the exhaust. Installation was straight forward, well built and modular for easy installation. Sound, in cabin is definitely deeper and from driving it daily I have not found any real droning (highway and local DD) that is annoying. From outside, well I haven't heard it since I'm driving it :) My son tells me it sounds good. Did have a couple of places it rubbed against some shielding around the gas tank and where it joins after the cat (there is a cross member there), since it is modular it is easy to adjust to eliminate to rubs so all is good. Overall happy with the install and the fact that it isn't obnoxiously loud.

A friend of mine has a Simons exhaust on his V70R. I really like the sound! Not obnoxiously loud, but not too quiet either.

Right, any higher level scan tool will also pull those codes. I have a ThinkDiag bluetooth scan tool, best diagnostic tool ever!

I ordered my through vp-autoparts.com, had to wait a few months due to backlog etc. but for me was worth the wait. They also had the best prices that I could find.

On my car, the far rear muffler was removed and straight piped before my ownership. It sounds sooooooo good. Congrats on your new exhaust! The volvo i5 has a satisfying note to it (muffler or not) that you cant get from a v6 or v8 which sound really bad with no muffler.

Yesterday I spent most of the time between 9am and 4pm working on my v70. i figured out a method to flush out the power steering fluid and refill with ATF w/o running the ps pump dry. So yeah ps fluid is changed. Right after that, I attempted reinstall of front bumper cover (continuing from where I left off of redoing the front end) which did not go well. Not installed. Got passenger side emergency brake readjusted. Kinda got the passenger side shock replaced (shock mount broke). And thats it. I feel like this was a tacky repair day. Fail.

Any measurable progress is progress by definition. Sometimes just the act of trying to do a fix and not fixing it makes it easier to get there next time. Keep plugging away at it, you're almost there.

What was your method for changing the PS fluid?
