Prepped the replacement rear differential. Unfortunately the coupler from the propeller shaft was left behind in companion flange/ oscillation damper and I could not remove it with the push screws from behind and pb plaster. Ended up punching a hole in the prop shaft end cap to reach the nut to remove the whole damper.
Reused the oscillation damper and DEM from our car (rear differential came w.o. a Dem). Put in a new filter, temp switch, axle seals and AOC breather element. I could not remove the pump without damaging it. Tested it with 12 Volt and it’s working and leave it as is. The final drive seal is on back order 2 months out and decided not to split the case because of the o-ring not available. And test it as is.
Waiting on the last bushings for the rear sub frame to come in before installing it in the car and fill it with oil.
