Testing the V-VIS valve?

Can I test the valve by supplying earth and 12v to it or does it need another kind of signal?
I think blue red is 12v and the grey-black is earth? Figured it was better to ask before releasing the Lucas smoke.

Answering myself, applying 12v to the red blue pin and ground to the other pin gives you a nice clicking noise.

Sorry we were too slow to respond. I guess Monday's are one of those days!

Glad you figured it out though, as I have a few used spares I have not tested yet.
