VIDA 2014D_Repack install on Windows 10, any version.

I've followed the instructions. When installing the patches, I did get an error but it finished anyway (I think).
When trying to log in (using admin), I can click in the box and see a vertical cursor blinking but can't type anything. I've tried typing. Pasting. Nothing works.
I'm using Edge in IE mode. If I don't use IE Mode, I can't even click in to that Username Box.
I searched the thread and saw that someone else had this problem, but didn't see a fix for it.
How can I get past this?

I followed the instructions and the install seemed to go smoothly, but the unit isn't being recognized by the software. When I plug it into the computer, Device manager shows it as "USB Serial Port (COM14), but the VIDA drop-down "Communicatoins tool" box only shows "Not selected". I tried the DiCE Diagnostic program, but it doesn't show under "Select Device".

Whether or not the DiCE is plugged in, the "Firmware status" and "Vehicle interface status" lights are solid red and the USB com status light is blinking blue.

I assume I got a bad DiCE unit and will have to ship it back to China? My only car is out of commission and I need to get this going ASAP!

I've seen forum posts where when the DiCE device is properly installed, it doesn't show up under USB devices. There's a completely new category called DiCE Hardware that shows up in Device Manager. I don't remember or have the links handy, but maybe doing a search on something like that might give some ideas.
I suspect it's not bad. Just not installed correctly. But I don't know how to fix it. I have my own problems with VIDA not letting me type in the Username box to log in.
And since I don't really know how to install this software, other than to follow directions - I may be leading you astray. If so, I'm sorry.

I got my Vida working again. Reinstalled it and it worked.

Gray. Also, I forgot to mention lights 4 (firmware status) and 1 (vehicle interface status) are lit solid red and light 2 (USB com status) blinks blue.

When I start Vida, I enter the VIN number and select gearbox and w/o sunroof, click OK and I got message "getCommToolSettings(...).DiagnosticAllowed is not a function". Also, the Vida doesn´t start in IE but in Edge. What is this releted to?? Thanks!

Vida must start in IE.

Open Edge browser
Go to Settings
On the right choose "Default Browser"
Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode) - Allow
Internet Explorer mode pages - Add http://localhost/Vida/
Restart Edge.

It should work now.

Edit: Now I have another message: " Object doesn´t support property or method 'DiagnosticAllowed' " but now I can enter into the parts catalog which I couldn´t before.
I try to enter in Vida without car connection. I asume that is not the problem or...??

It's not a problem unless you want to use the Diagnostics tab.
