96 850T Cam Position Sensor

Post by phunkdeefied »

My 850T was having trouble starting. It always started, but sometimes took two or three cranks to get it going. I checked the codes and P0336 Cam Position Sensor.... came back. The part is expensive $170 on eEuro! I bought a used one on Ebay for 23 bucks! Installed it and everything is great. Starts right up everytime! I suppose there was risk buying used off ebay, but quite a spread in price.

So I guess the purpose of writing this post is to let everyone know what this code means and what could need to be replaced if you are having trouble starting up.
