Whilst not a VW fan, I might suggest punt the BMW and SWMBO can upgrade to the Golf assuming your mum has retired from driving. Cheaper to run and easier around town. More reliable, that may be debatable, it is German after all...........! LoL!

Though I just got a 1998 V70 T5M, what I truly want is a 1999 V70 T5M with its upgraded technology. I can't buy it any time soon (must fix and reduce my fleet), but keep me in mind if you want to sell it. What are its interior and exterior colors?

2001 S80 T6 - rebuilt trans, head gasket, fixed & sold
1997 V70 - kid car, sold
1996 850 GLT - found under bridge, 2 year refurb project, commuter car, kid car, T-Boned - SIPS saved passenger. Totaled.
1997 VW GTI VR6 - exceedingly fast.
1971 VW Type II/231 - it was pointed out by management that the children would be killed in it.
