Hello Everyone,
I'm selling my non-running 2005 S60R. Mileage is approximately 125,xxx. I'm asking for $1,000 OBO. I will NOT part out the car. I'm in Daly City, CA.
It was running PERFECTLY fine until the recent storms. I can't be sure but I believe the rain leaked into the CEM and shorted it. Now, I cannot connect the VIDA to the car. The check engine light turns on, trunk light turns on, cd player makes mechanical noise but doesn't turn on. Engine does not crank over. It's really bizarre.

I have replaced the battery with a new Costco AGM battery. Also, I replaced the ring antenna for the ignition. The car has many aftermarket parts; Hilton Tuning (Boost unlock for automatic transmission), IPD muffler, IPD differential cover, IPD intake kit, aluminum radiator, etc. The OEM parts that I have kept will come with the car. Car has no oil leaks.
Known problems:
Front windshield is cracked and needs to be replaced. Paint is dull and some areas need repainting (side mirrors, bumper). Front differential looks slightly greasy but does not leak.

Did you see my update? If you still have your car, you might want to see if this works. 1. Disconnect the battery negative. 2. Remove ignition fuse 25 and fuel pump fuse 33 (on my car). 3. Insert key in ignition but don’t turn it. 4. Connect battery negative. 5. Install fuse 25, then fuse 33. Start as normal…hopefully!

You have a 2004 model and I think your fuses are different. I can't find fuse 25 or 33 in the electric diagram for my model.

It’s getting more and more clear to me that if I want to fill my backyard with broken Volvos, i need to buy a tow truck. I wish i had one, id come and drag your dead car to Ohio.

2001 S80 T6 - rebuilt trans, head gasket, fixed & sold
1997 V70 - kid car, sold
1996 850 GLT - found under bridge, 2 year refurb project, commuter car, kid car, T-Boned - SIPS saved passenger. Totaled.
1997 VW GTI VR6 - exceedingly fast.
1971 VW Type II/231 - it was pointed out by management that the children would be killed in it.
