Well I have two Volvo's to look at next week.

A 2006 V70 2.5T with 198k km whos owner uses the same indy i use. Hoping to get the details from the mechanic, its silver and cosmetically in good condition.

A 2006 S60 Black my mechanic said was for sale, hoping he gets back to me.

A 2007 S60 2.5T that is conditionally sold but the ad is still up

Some other S60's in the area.

V70 would be my optimal selection at this point as I know the quality of maintenance done by my independent and his recommendations. 198K Km is only 124 K miles and if i can get to 252 k miles or 400 k km then i will be a happy man. Lets hope the stars align on this one.

Well it seems the harder task of finding a p2 with under 200k km. Everyone I messaged has told me sale pending prior to me being able to see the car. Some list these cars for 8-9k when the real value based on common sense, vwr, kbb, and carfax is around 4-6k. Keeping my chin up as best I can on this but the process is exhausting.

Saw an s60 today with 243k km and a silky smooth transmission. Had some codes on it but seems to be narrowed down to a wheel sensor and ac system that needs charging. Car had some exterior damage but had next to no rust for its age. With rust proofing I can see myself getting many years out of it. Car wasn’t futzed with either. The owners storey checks out and I learned my code scanner does read out the odometer reading.

The car has an oem catalytic as well but will need the following:
Body had some small dents and scratches but i was not expecting perfect
Radiator cooling fan as old one makes noise
Wheel speed sensor
Timing belt and water pump and idlers
Light bulbs for rear stop light and drivers turn signal
Fluid flush.

The interior was not perfect but was really nice. Car looked good and was 4900 cad but I think I can get 4500 for the 08.

I may sound a bit pessimistic, but, based on my experience with 3 P2s, I'd expect everything on its last leg. So I'd be looking at the overall exterior and interior condition.
