Cool Tools !

Post by Sveedy »

So after 50+ years of working with tools ( both mechanical and human ), I've picked up some cool ones. For instance today;
A carpenters mechanical pencil designed in Sweden and made in Romania. Plastic sheath with build in sharpener, retractable lead, and three different colored leads. Very ergonomic as you might imagine.

Where EVER did you find that in AZ? Was it at a building supply place?

Ha ! Yep. The small local lumber yard often has weird things on a table by the contractors desk. I've fallen victim to it on more than one occasion. A Swedish mechanical pencil spoke to me for some reason. :)

Well then look out for these. It came in a two pack. Simple on/off, one brightness level which is truly blindingly bright ( I can't remember how many lumens, maybe 600 ), and a wide beam area. But it has a soft rubber end so you can hold it in your teeth !
I use it regularly when working on Sveedy.

Something that every self-respecting DIY dude needs. Or maybe just for sh*ts & grins.
It's called an EZEBREAKER. Basically a small blasting system for breaking up boulders / rocks / cement. You drill a small ( 5/16" ) hole down 16" into the boulder, drop in a couple of charges, connect the 25' hose to the firing mechanism and the CO2 charging handle. Pull the trigger, and BOOM ! A buddy of mine has been breaking up boulders as big as VW's with his. Fun Fun !!

That's a deep hole for 5/16"! Is it a hammer drill kind of bit?
