Looks great!

I have to go into the garage and spray the PV544 grille mesh. Previous owner looked like they just sprayed the satin black paint over rust!! If it ends up looking half as good as your work I will be happy!

Thanks !
Honestly it was all I could do not to pull out the body filler and hit the areas where the forklift forks marred the rails. On that note, the fact that the car has to be picked up with a forklift, will put a slight bow in the rails of the brace. Kind of unavoidable from their standpoint.
Not bad, but I put it in a press to straighten it out.
You could probably do it with a jack, and the weight of the car on a piece of steel. It's just a hollow tube.
If harvesting from a junkyard, figure on doing this.

Then, fill, paint, color sand, and clear coat.

I'll need to look more closely at mine. I think they only damaged the heads of the mounting bolts and I have spares of those.

Thanks for the heads up!

I would love to feel motivated to clean up any of the braces I have to that extent! Mine are caked in nasty, oil soaked undercoating.

Well boys I have achieved greatness today. I have done some sketchy stuff over the years but this took everything I have. The xc90 threw a timing belt several months ago. Today I was finally able to tow it across the yard and uphill into the garage. I anchored a harbor freight winch and hand cranked the xc90 uphill with several sketchy tow straps that were way undersized and a one point a ratchet strap. After 3 hours I am done for the weekend.

The worst part was the HF winch only has 10ft of cable. Every 10ft I had to place wheel chocks, parking brake, shift into park, then release tension on the winch. Then I would fold the 20ft tow straps in half since they stretch I would always be like 3 or 4 inches short of reaching. This is where the ratchet strap came on handy to try and bring the shackles close enough to link together.

If I had to do it again I would add a 2 inch steel square tubing for a cheater bar to increase leverage at the winch. But if this becomes an annual thing I may invest in an electric winch running off a deep cycle AGM battery.

My wife wanted to help me "push" the car uphill into the garage. I just stared in silence.
