These exhaust heat shields prevent a lot of heat transfer from exhaust to other parts.

I did read for coworker S60 fault codes. He had there Low air flow or restricted for MAF.. Couple days later i hear he went car wash and fault disappeared.

I am gonna write that down for that fault code for future people.

Got all the exhaust manifold bolts removed, all but 1 stud came out with the nuts. Now the coolant lone is giving me a lot of grief. How do I remove this lower bolt? I can get a 10mm box end wrench on but it's touching on both sides so you can't actually turn the wrench. Sockets will fit but the ratchet is too wide. I assume I cannot remove the head with this in place.

Well the good news is I got the 2nd bolt out. I had to chew the crap out of it with a 3/8 12pt since my 1/4 u joint bit decided to explode. I used a borescope to guide my socket placement and I could not get more than a 60 degree bite on this bolt head.

I have no idea how I'm going to bolt this pipe back in place at the end.

Ah, the infamous water pipe M6 bolts. It’s much easier to put it in with the exhaust manifold off the car

Up the game to some Tektron sockets for that M6 , Pittsburghs and Kobalts are ok, but they will break on a tough application

Tektron, Matco, or snap on if you are loaded

You can get a straight shot on them with the right length extension. Use a six point to get a good fit

I have a set of tekton 6pt ratcheting flex head box end wrenches. I could not get them seat due the timing cover and no room to actually move them. I'm also trying to do this without removing the exhaust manifold. I tried the 6pt first but the u joint bit grenaded itself leaving me with only the 3/8 12pt as an option.

Could you replace it with a cap head bolt, with a recessed allen head? The tool should be much narrower and might fit in there.

I wasn't able to remove the coolant tree without removing the exhaust manifold, due to the bolt closest to the drivers side in your pic.
As I recall it was tucked up behind the manifold.
